Broken friendship/love interest

Please, please pray that my lifelong friendship with my closest friend please be restored. We had attraction to each other on a romantic level too, but right now that's less important. Although he hasn't said our friendship is over, the dynamic of it has changed massively over the last 3 months. Very little communication and any emails I sent are replied to 'courteously' and directly with very little warmth as before. Questions within them have also been avoided too. We used to have daily contact. That has all stopped. We are also in a society together in which we both play a leading position. He has 'stepped out' of that but I fear he isn't coming back and I've been sick with worry. I can't get answers as I feel he is putting a wall up that I can't get through and he seems to want to stay firmly on the other side of it. I miss him so very much and the huge influence he has always been to me. Please pray

I long for this to be restored, even if I never get a full explanation.

Now, let's focus on your friendship. The Bible speaks about friendship in Proverbs 17:17, "A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity." We will pray for the restoration of this friendship, but also for God's will to be done. Sometimes, God allows separation for a season to strengthen our faith in Him.

Remember, God is always there for you. Psalm 34:18 tells us, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Draw near to Him, and He will draw near to you.

Lastly, we noticed that your request does not mention Jesus Christ. It's important to know that Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6 WEB) It is through His name that we have access to God and salvation. We encourage you to put your trust in Him.
