Broken Family, Broken Heart

Thank You to all of you who have been praying for us. Please continue to pray for the restoration of my marriage. Today has been a very difficult day for me. My anxiety and emotions are barely controlable. My nights are full of terrors and sleep almost impossible. Please GOD give me your strength, your peace, and your heart. Soften my wifes heart to see the damage her affair is having on our family. Give me a heart of forgiveness and a mind of peace and a life of faith. Gather us close to you Lord and protect us in this storm.

Lord Jesus Christ,

I pray that you stand close to Jeff at this time. That you grant him peace of mind and confidence in you, that you take away his fears and help him to sleep well and restore himself. Lord Jesus I pray for your restoration and renewal of his marriage, I ask that you help promote forgiveness, dialogue and healing in his family. Give him the strength to continue. And if his wife is having an affair then I pray that you call her out of it gently but firmly. And Lord that you help them talk honestly about the reasons for her actions and that you give Jeff the strength to listen and to adapt where and if necessary to love his wife. Lord I ask that you bless their family and their union and that as in the marriage it says "what God has joined together let no man separate", I ask that you speak to his wife and the other party involved and soften their hearts to the damage they are doing. Lord I ask that you lift Jeff's anxiety and remind him that "you will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee." And that you let Jeff not lose heart through the turbulent emotions he faces and must go through. I thank you for his faith, for it is already there, and ask you to increase it. I also thank you for his soft heart, and his willingness to save his marriage. And Lord Jesus I lift him up to you and ask that you restore his confidence and re-ignite the passion between this couple that drew them together in the first place. Draw this couple to you Lord and bless once more there marriage and let it endure and be happy, so that in time they may come to see this as a small kink in the road that brought them closer together. I ask this in Jesus name as your humble servant. Amen

Lord Jesus, we ask You to intervene in this marriage and bring this couple together despite the foolishness of this woman. We thank You for the heart that You have mended in this man to accept his wife back. Lord, we command the devil to let go of this woman in Jesus name. We seek Your will to prevail in this marriage. Lord, strengthen this man to heal emotionally and let Your peace guard his heart. Let him focus on You than on this affair, we pray that he surrenders it to You and never to fight it for vengeance is Yours. Man, be blessed, see the hand of God upon You. Your rejection will bring a promotion to you in Jesus name. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might...amen

Lord, please continue to work in the heart of my brother's wife. May she not be comfortable in her sin. Draw him closer to you during this very difficult time. Give him peace. help him to keep his mind on you. Help him to remember to extend the same forgiveness to his wife, that you have given ALL of us. Assure him that you are working this situatin out for your glory. LORD HAVE MERCY!

Father, I know this man is hurting deeply. Any solid lifestyle of love between to people corrupted by outside forces is devastating and leaves one feeling powerless in life.

Yet I pray that you open his eye to see that the decisions of his wife are not of his. Everybody in this world has been afforded the ability to make choices. Although this young man loves his wife these choices are hers and hers alone. So any feelings of guilt, anger, sadness, resentment, loneliness, embarrassment, bitterness, nervousness, anxiety, sorrow, desperation and anything else that is occupying his mind needs to leave - now. Your word promised him to be blessed and to receive favor once he made to choice to find a wife and he did Father. So therefore he is blessed beyond imagination and cannot be cursed. His heart is clear and his mind is sound Father. He continues to do the right thing by you and he will continue to do so for his love for You knows no boundaries. I speak peace into his heart and forgiveness to those who wrong him. I pray for rest at night and a sound mind as he moves through this storm.

I also pray for his wife and that she finds You in the decisions she has made Father. I know we all do things that are not of you - we all fall short. Yet I speak over my sister that she recognizes the error in her ways and turns to you for guidance and forgiveness. This is the woman this man chose to be his wife so therefore she is blessed to be a blessing to this man. The selfishness, greed, shame, lust, hostility and anything that is in this woman's heart I also speak to move and never return through the powerful name of Jesus. I ask that you can allow her to see the error of her ways, ask for forgiveness from You and her husband, allow herself to forgive herself to heal Father and return home to the place you have created for the both of them and the child you have blessed them with.

Father I pray for Jeff's wife to come to you. Father many goes out looking for love and satisfaction, but it is You that we need. Father she is lost, and in her persue for what she is looking for, her family is suffering severely. Father she is no difference from the woman at the well and you send Jesus to give her drink that she will never thirst again. So draw her Lord, bring Godly sorrow in her heart and save her soul.

Father I pray for Jeff that he will able to endure with patience and trust in You, the Prince of Peace, that he will not lean on his own understanding but acknowledge You in all his way so You will direct his path. As You are Peace, draw him and give him a willing spirit to stay close to the Prince of Peace.

Jeff Jesus says "cast your care upon him and He will give you rest, peace for your soul. God bless you
