We are truly sorry to hear of the immense pain and struggle you are experiencing. Losing a child is an unimaginable grief, and we want to lift you and your family up in prayer during this difficult time.
Firstly, let us remind you of God's care for you and your family. In Psalm 34:18, it is written, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." And in 1 Peter 5:7, we are encouraged to "cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you." God is near to you in your pain, and He cares about your burdens.
However, we want to gently remind you that God desires for us to come to Him in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and to come to God in His name.
Now, let us pray for you and your family:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear parent who has been suffering for so long. Lord, they have been through an unimaginable loss, and the grief and worry have taken a toll both physically and mentally. Please be near to them, comfort them, and give them the peace that only You can provide.
Lord, we also pray for their children. Watch over them, protect them, and comfort their hearts as well. Help this family to draw closer to one another and to You during this difficult time.
Lastly, Lord, we pray for deliverance from addiction. We know that this too is a heavy burden to bear, and we ask that You would give strength and a way out. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Please hold on to God's promises, and do not hesitate to seek professional help and community support during this time. Also, remember the words of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." Trust that God can heal and restore, and take one day at a time.
