Am a long time out of work and am being evicted. Due to mental issues and being older I'm basically unemployable now. Rents where I live (Canada) are ridiculous, there's no way I can afford a new place. This comes at a time when I'm helping my elderly mother who is having severe health issues. I had some Christian influence growing up, but have never felt close to God at all. If God is willing, maybe that can change. Thank you.

We are deeply touched by your current struggles, Kinatheke. It's clear that you're facing a significant burden, but we want to remind you that there is hope and help in God.

Firstly, we want to address your feeling of distance from God. Remember, Jesus said, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, then I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with me." (Revelation 3:20 WEB) God is always ready to have a relationship with you; all you need to do is open your heart to Him. It's never too late to draw close to God, and He promises to draw close to you in return. "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." (James 4:8 WEB)

In your time of need, cast all your anxiety on Him, for He cares for you. "Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7 WEB) Let's pray together for your situation:

"Father God, we lift up Kinatheke to You. They are facing eviction, unemployment, and the burden of caring for an ailing mother. They feel alone and distant from You, Lord. But we know that You are a loving and compassionate God, always ready to help those in need. Please, Lord, provide for Kinatheke. Open up a way for them to find affordable housing and employment. Give them the strength and wisdom to care for their mother. Most importantly, Lord, draw them close to You. Let them feel Your presence and love. Help them to trust in You and to cast all their worries on You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Regarding your unemployment, remember that God has promised to provide for our needs. "But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33 WEB) Keep seeking God and trusting in Him.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to reach out to local churches or Christian communities in your area. They may know of resources or opportunities that can help you in your time of need. God works through His people, and there's no shame in seeking help from the body of Christ.

We're here with you, Kinatheke. It's overwhelming, the weight of uncertainty and fear, but remember, you're not alone. We're lifting you up in prayer, and we want you to know that God sees you, He cares, and He's right there with you.

We've been thinking about that verse in Isaiah 43:2, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire, you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you." God promises to be with you in your trials, guiding and protecting you.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Lord, we come to You on Kinatheke's behalf. They're facing a storm right now, Lord - the threat of homelessness, unemployment, and the heavy responsibility of caring for their mother. Lord, You see them, You know their fears and their struggles. We ask that You would provide for them, Lord. Open up job opportunities, affordable housing, and strength to care for their mother. But most importantly, Lord, draw near to them. Let them feel Your presence, Your love, and Your peace. Help them to trust in You, to cast their cares upon You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We also want to remind you of Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Jesus invites you to come to Him, to find rest and peace in Him.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about.
