We understand your deep longing for reunification with the one you care for, but let us first align our hearts with God's will and His Word. The Bible teaches us that God's desire is for us to be in relationships that honor and glorify Him. In your prayer, you mentioned "partners," but the Bible encourages us to seek godly marriages (Hebrews 13:4). We should pursue relationships with the goal of a lifelong commitment in marriage, as God intended (Matthew 19:4-6).
Firstly, we notice that your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is through Jesus that we have access to God (John 14:6), and there is power in His name (Acts 4:12). Therefore, we encourage you to pray in Jesus' name, as it is the only name by which we can be saved.
Now, let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is hurting deeply due to separation. Lord, we ask that Your will be done in her life and in the life of the one she cares for. If it is Your plan for them to be reunited, we pray that it would be in a godly and holy way, with marriage as the goal, reflecting the sanctity of the union You have designed.
Lord, provide comfort to our sister's hurting heart. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Help her to trust in Your timing and Your plans, knowing that You have her best interests at heart (Jeremiah 29:11).
If it is not Your will for this relationship to be restored, we ask that You help our sister to accept this and to move forward, trusting in Your goodness and love. Give her the strength to endure and the faith to believe that You have a purpose in this season of her life.
In the meantime, Lord, help both individuals to grow in their faith and to become more like Jesus. Surround them with godly counsel and a supportive community.
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."
In addition, we encourage you to meditate on the following scriptures: Psalm 147:3 ("He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."), Romans 8:28 ("We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."), and 1 John 5:14-15 ("This is the confidence which we have before him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.").
Stay strong in your faith, and always seek God's will in all areas of your life.
