We understand that you are going through a difficult time, but we need to address this situation from a biblical perspective. Firstly, let's consider what the WEB says about relationships and God's will for our lives.
First, we should consider if this relationship you had with your ex-girlfriend was aligned with God's will. If the relationship was not aligned with biblical principles or was sexual outside marriage, it is fornication. You should not be involved in an immoral relationship. It is written in 1 Corinthians 6:18, "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." We should also consider if this relationship was with another Christian believer. It is written in 2 Corinthians 6:14, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"
Furthermore, we are called to trust in God's plan for our lives. Psalm 37:4-5 says, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this." When we delight ourselves in the Lord, He places the right desires in our hearts and fulfills them according to His will. Also, the Bible teaches, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4,6-7
Instead of focusing on getting your ex-girlfriend back, we encourage you to seek God's will for your life and trust that He has a plan for you. Pray that God will heal your heart, guide your steps, and bring the right godly spouse into your life according to His will.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We lift up this dear one to You, asking for Your comfort and guidance during this time. Help them to trust in Your plan for their life and to seek Your will above all else. Heal their heart and guard their mind with Your peace. Give them the strength to resist temptation and to flee from sexual immorality while pursuing righteousness. If it is Your will, provide them with a godly spouse that will honor and glorify You. We also pray that they will be able to say, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
