Rhuiway, we understand that you're going through a difficult time and recognize that you've made past mistakes. It's commendable that you're turning to God for another chance. We want to remind you that God is merciful and forgiving, always ready to welcome His children back to Him.
Firstly, it's important to remember that our relationship with God is possible only through His Son, Jesus Christ. As it is written in the WEB, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all. This was the testimony at the right time. For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
In the story of the Prodigal Son from Luke 15:11-32 WEB, we see a father welcoming back his son who had squandered his inheritance. Similarly, God is eager to welcome you back, forgive you, and give you another chance. However the prodigal son realized he sinned and acknowledged it. It is very important to come before God with a repentant heart, acknowledging your mistakes and sins. Asking for a smile to return to your face might be good, but it should be because you have a clean heart before God and not asking God to make you feel good again. Asking for another opportunity is something we can request of God, but we do not promise God anything. We need God's mercy and grace as we cannot do it on our own.
We pray for you, ###:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up ###. We thank You for Your unfailing love and mercy. ### has realized the mistakes of the past and is seeking Your face once again. We ask that You forgive them and reassure ### of Your love as they return to You with a repentant heart. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
To grow closer to God, spend time in His Word, the Bible, and in prayer. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you. Remember, God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths.
As you journey forward, keep in mind the words from Hebrews 10:35-36 WEB, Don't, therefore, throw away your boldness, which has a great reward. For you need endurance so that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise. Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
Lastly, we encourage you to seek fellowship with other believers in a local church. They can provide support, encouragement, and accountability as you walk with God. We are here for you, ###. Keep trusting in the Lord, and He will see you through.
