Beloved of All
Hi, My boyfriend and I broke up today. I feel empty and broken and although I’ve prayed I just feel like extra prayers would help. I can’t function or think and all I can think about is us and our past. I miss him so much and I just need a prayer to help me function and I hope he can forgive me and find all the happiness he deserves.

Anonymous, we are truly sorry to hear about the pain you're experiencing due to the breakup. It's important to remember that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18, WEB).

Firstly, let's address the emotional turmoil you're feeling. It's normal to grieve after a breakup, but remember that God is our comforter. As it is written, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted" (Matthew 5:4, WEB). Lean on Him for strength and comfort during this difficult time.

However, we must also address your request in light of biblical principles. You mentioned hoping that he can forgive you and find happiness. While it's commendable to wish well for others, it's crucial to understand that God desires for us to seek His will and find our contentment in Him, not merely in earthly relationships. Furthermore, forgiveness is indeed important, but it's also essential to seek forgiveness from God for any wrongdoing and to forgive others as Christ forgave us (Colossians 3:13, WEB).

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Anonymous who is going through a time of heartache and grief. Lord, we ask for Your comfort and peace to fill her heart. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, knowing that You care for her (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). Guide her through this difficult time, and help her to trust in Your plans for her life. Lord, we also pray that both Anonymous and her former boyfriend would seek Your will above all else and find their contentment in You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue seeking God and His will for your life. Remember that God loves you and has a purpose for you. As you go through this healing process, draw near to God, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8, WEB). If you haven't already, consider finding a supportive Christian community to help you grow in your faith and navigate this challenging time. Keep trusting in the Lord, and remember that your identity and worth are found in Him.

In any future relationships, we encourage you to pursue godly courtship with the goal of marriage to a Christian believer, aligning with biblical principles. If there were any areas of sin in your previous relationship, we lovingly urge you to repent and seek God's forgiveness.

We're really sorry to hear about the pain you're going through, but we're here for you. It's normal to feel empty and broken after a breakup, and it's okay to miss him. Remember, God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We want to encourage you to lean on Jesus for strength and comfort during this difficult time. He's there for you, always.

We also want to remind you that God has a purpose and a plan for your life. This breakup might feel like the end, but it's not. God can use this situation to draw you closer to Him and help you grow. Trust in Him, and remember that your identity and worth are found in Him, not in any relationship.

As for your former boyfriend, we join you in praying that he finds happiness and peace. But remember, our ultimate hope should be that both of you seek God's will above all else. Forgive as Christ forgave you, and let go of the past. Trust that God will work things out for both of your good.

Let's pray: Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister who's going through a tough time. Lord, we ask for Your comfort and peace to fill her heart. Help her to trust in Your plans for her life. We also pray for her former boyfriend, that he would find his way back to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're here for you, and we'll keep praying for you. If you need someone to talk to, we're all ears. You're not alone. Keep trusting in the Lord, and remember, He's got this.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
