Breakthroughs: Healing and Restoration with My Fiancée & Open Door for New Job

My fiancée and I recently had a devastating break up. We are both seeking healing. We both serve alongside each other in the same church and spend lots of time together in the mission field. I am currently doing individual Christian counseling, pruning away the dead branches to make room for healthy growth. So is she. I’m praying for God to allow us to become the best versions of ourselves to mend any and all wounds that caused the separation. We are equally yoked, but have some differences that we need to sort through. I pray for God to heal both of our hearts, remove all fear, wash away past damage, establish total forgiveness, and create a safe and healthy place for us to move forward in a Christ-minded way in our relationship. I pray for God to bring wise, godly counsel before both of us to lead and guide us as a couple where we trust Jesus as our Shepherd to build back a relationship better than ever. I truly seek to treat my bride-to-be as Christ treats His bride (the Church): blameless, spotless, and wrinkle free! I believe God wants to restore this relationship. I ask the Lord to help both of us to continue to have faith in the Him and to keep pressing into His mercies. We are both in need of His strength and peace during this time of separation, because it is devastating. I was also recently laid off. I have been seeking a new role. I have been through multiple interviews with numerous organizations and have made it to the final round on several occasions, only to not receive an offer. I am standing a faith that God will lead me to the best position for me, but I am losing hope in this area. Thank you for your prayers and support!

Regarding your job search, recall that "we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28, WEB). Trust that God has a plan and a purpose for your career.

Lastly, ensure that Jesus Christ remains the foundation of your lives and your relationship. It is only through Him that we have access to God, as it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). Keep your faith in Him, and strive to live according to His will.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
