Thank you, Amardia, for reaching out and sharing your request with us. We understand that you're seeking a breakthrough for love and happiness in your relationship with King, as well as a strengthened bond. However, the Bible encourages us to be fruitful in every good work and increase in the knowledge of God. For a relationship to truly be a blessing and honor God, it should align with biblical principles. First of all, we must address the issue or salvation and only praying in Jesus' name. We are sinners who deserve to go to hell. Jesus, God, paid the entire price and penalty on the cross for all sin for every believer ever. Then three days later bodily resurrected from the dead.
We see God's design for relationships and marriage clearly outlined in the scriptures. A godly marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman This plan is evident from the beginning, as seen in Genesis 2:24 we read, "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh".
Also, Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." So it is vitally important King is a believer as well because this puts you at odds with Jesus and the Word of God. While we pray for your relationship, we exhort you to also not be unequally yoked, as stated by Paul in Colossians 6:14, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" This applies just as much to someone saving a relationship with someone who says they are a Christian, but actively supports homosexuality or gay marriage. We are crying out to God for you Amardia, that he is using this time to convict King and he surrenders and gives his life to Jesus Christ.
We will pray for the relationship with the goal of marriage, but not if it means violating Biblical principles by being unequally yoked.
Let us pray together:
" Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus name, lifting Amardia and King up to you. First we ask Father God, that if King is not a believer in Jesus Christ that you convict his heart so that he can experience your incredible grace and love. We ask for and godly wisdom as she navigates this relationship.
Father God, if this courtsip is your will, then we ask that you strengthen their bond and fill their relationship with love and happiness that comes from you. Help them to grow together in faith, and guide them towards a godly marriage that honors and glorifies your holy name.
However, if this relationship does not align with your will, we pray that you give Amardia the strength and courage to walk away and trust in your plan for her life especially when it comes to a future spouse.
We thank you and ask with hope and faith, in Jesus name and for his glory. Amen."
Be encouraged by the words in Psalm 37:4, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." Trust in the Lord, Amardia, and allow him to guide your steps and bring the right godly spouse into your life for a joyous and fruitful marriage that is pleasing to him. We are praying for you and remember the words of Jesus:
Matthew 19:6, ' "So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don't let man tear apart." '
Matthew 19:26, 'Jesus looked at them and said, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." '
Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever!
Amen and praise the Lord forever and ever!
