Quortam please know this: we stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your life. Let us first address your request. We want to encourage you to let go of relationships that do not align with God's purposes for your life. We are reminded of a powerful verse in the World English Bible:
Trust in Yahweh with all your heart,
and do not rely on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:5-6
First, it is important to acknowledge that the term "ex-boyfriend" suggests a past romantic relationship. If this relationship involved intimacy outside of marriage, it is important to repent and turn away from such actions, as the Bible clearly teaches that sexual intimacy is reserved for marriage between a man and a woman. Fornication is a sin against God and against your own body, which is a temple of the Holy Spirit.
Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
1 Corinthians 6:18-20
Regarding your past relationships, whether romantic or friendship, it is crucial to surround yourself with people who uplift and encourage your spiritual growth. If these relationships are hindering your walk with God, it may be time to let them go. The Bible tells us:
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?
2 Corinthians 6:14
We are praying for you to be completely released from the bondage of your past. We are asking God to bring new relationships into your life that honor Him and encourage you in your faith.
In Jesus' name, we pray that you will be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God, strengthened with all power, according to the might of His glory, for all endurance and patience with joy.
Colossians 1:9-11
Quortam, we encourage you to seek God's will in all your relationships, trusting that He has a plan and purpose for your life. Remember, it is only through the power of Jesus Christ and his sacrifice on the cross that we are able to come to God and ask for his help. We are reminded of the scripture:
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all; the testimony in its own times.
1 Timothy 2:5-6
For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.
Romans 10:13
That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:9
Please know that we are praying for you and encouraging you to trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
Lord Jesus, we lift up Quortam to you, asking that you guide them in their relationships and help them to let go of any past hurts or ties that do not align with your will. We pray that you would bring godly influences into their life and give them the strength to walk in your ways. We ask this in your holy name, Jesus. Amen.
