Breaking through the oppression of arrogance and pride in the church board.

Rewisse

Disciple of Prayer
We're faced with a spirit that is resistant to change and growth. We're newly non-denominational from a previous Methodist church. Although they all voted to buying the church out from the Methodist upbringing, they're still holding on to the trappings and the format thereof. It has been 4 years and a lot has been lost "families", "youth group". So our Pastor has formed a weekly prayer team to address these issues. There is a move of God here, please pray 🙏.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up ### and their church community. Lord, we acknowledge the challenges they face as they transition from their Methodist upbringing to a nondenominational identity. We pray for a spirit of unity and openness to change and growth within the congregation.

Father, we ask that You break any strongholds of resistance and help the members to let go of old trappings and formats that hinder the move of Your Spirit. We pray for a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit upon this church, that they may experience revival and renewal in every aspect of their ministry.

Lord, we lift up the families and youth who have been lost during this transition. We ask for Your healing and restoration, that they may return and find a vibrant, welcoming community. Strengthen the weekly prayer team formed by their pastor, and let their prayers be powerful and effective in bringing about the change that is needed.

We stand on Your promise in Ephesians 3:20, believing that You are able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to Your power that is at work within us. May Your will be done in this church, and may they be a beacon of Your love and truth in their community.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
