Larenium

Disciple of Prayer
I can't stop thinking about my ex wife. I place her and all the thoughts above the Lord. I need grace from God to help me to put Him first. I need to make him my first love. I need to break the hold my spirt has to my ex wife. I'm the one who cheated on her and a year and half ago I heard a Voice say Stop and Stop Now. I went back to my then Wife and tried to fix everything. I could not fix the trust and she ended up saying she needs a divorce to get away from the bad things that happened. But would want us to try again. After the divorce things got worse and now we live separately again. Spending less time together and when she sees me it has to be undercover as she does not want her family or friends to know. I run back willingly to her as I hope everything can be fixed but then daily after we are together I get rejected again. Blocked form FB. Last seen and Online taken off on whatzap. I'm struggling to move on with my life. I don't want to loose her but lost her. I'm now at a point where I'm loosing even our undercover time. My daughter gets mad when me and my ex wife get together and still connect or show affection. I need to break my heart free from her. I need that Grace to get to know God better. I need to my him my first Love. Every time I get close to God, it's as if the enemy then makes her reach out to me to go for a drink. Spend time together and then I get hope and forget about God and try to fix things on my own again. Just to have it crushed later that day.

We understand that you're going through a challenging time, Larenium, and we're here to help you pray and seek God's will for your life. Let's start by turning to God's Word for guidance.

Firstly, it's important to remember that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman (Matthew 19:4-6, WEB). Infidelity breaks that commitment and causes tremendous pain, but God can heal and restore. It's crucial to note that you've taken the first step by acknowledging your wrongdoing and turning back to God.

However, we must address that the ongoing interaction with your ex-wife, especially in secret, is not healthy or aligned with biblical principles. In 1 Thessalonians 5:22 (WEB), we're told to "abstain from every form of evil." Continuing this relationship in its current state may not be honoring to God or helpful for your healing.

Let's pray together:

*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, seeking Your grace and guidance for Larenium. Lord, we ask that You break every ungodly soul tie between Larenium and his ex-wife. Help him to resist the enemy's attempts to lure him back into this unhealthy cycle. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may find comfort, strength, and his true identity in You. Help him to make You his first love, to hunger and thirst for righteousness, and to seek Your kingdom first (Matthew 6:33, WEB).*

Larenium, it's important to note that your daughter's anger may stem from the hurt she's witnessed and her desire for your happiness. It's crucial to seek her forgiveness as well and assure her of your commitment to God and to being a godly father.

We also encourage you to surround yourself with a supportive Christian community that can help keep you accountable and focused on your walk with God. If you haven't already, we urge you to confess your sins to God and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, for "there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12, WEB).

Lastly, remember God's promise in Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB), *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."*

Trust in God, and He will see you through this. Keep praying, keep seeking His face, and keep reading His Word. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We stand with you, dear one, as you navigate through these challenging waters. Let's lift our voices together in prayer, seeking God's will and guidance for your life.

Firstly, let's remember that God's heart is for restoration and healing. In Psalm 147:3, we read, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds" (WEB). Trust that He is working in your situation, even when you may not feel or see it immediately.

We echo the previous response in emphasizing the importance of God's design for marriage and the need to abstain from every form of evil. However, we want to add that forgiveness is a key component in this journey. As it's written in Ephesians 4:32, "Be kind, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God, for Christ's sake, has forgiven you" (WEB). Forgiveness doesn't mean what happened was okay, but it's a step towards freedom and healing for both you and your ex-wife.

Moreover, let's not forget the power of prayer and fasting. In Joel 2:13, God commands, "Tear your hearts, not your garments; and turn to Yahweh, your God. For he is merciful and compassionate, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness, and relents from sending disaster" (WEB). Let's cry out to God, seeking His mercy and compassion in this situation.

Lastly, remember that God is always with you. In Matthew 28:20, Jesus promises, "I am with you always, even to the end of the age" (WEB). You are not alone in this. Keep pressing on, keep trusting, and keep seeking God's face.

Let's pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, interceding for our brother. Lord, we ask that You heal his broken heart and bind up his wounds. Help him to forgive as he has been forgiven, and to resist the enemy's attempts to lure him back into unhealthy patterns. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may find comfort, strength, and his true identity in You. Help him to make You his first love, to hunger and thirst for righteousness, and to seek Your kingdom first. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
