We are truly sorry to hear about the passing of your grandfather. In this time of grief, we want to remind you of the comfort and hope that Jesus offers. We thank you for acknowledging that it was the Lord's will. The Bible tells us that there is a time for everything, and that includes a time to mourn. Grieving is a natural and important process, but we want to encourage you that it is possible to have peace and joy even in this difficult time. Remember the words of Paul when he said in First Thessalonians that we do not grieve as those who have no hope. This does not mean we do not feel pain of loss, but we do not feel the utter despair that those do without the hope in Jesus Christ.
Concerning accepting this loss, we want to remind you the words of Paul in 2 Corinthians that the God of all comfort who comforts us in all our tribulation may be able you to those who discover themselves in these same issues. We will not face trials and tribulations with victory, but it is the God of victory that is there with us when we do.
We will also pray for strength and thank God for the relationship you had with your grandfather. His legacy will live on in your life. It is amazing that your grandparents raised you to be the person you are today. Although no human is perfect, God was able to use him in your life. Remember all the lessons and values said person taught you. Use those Godly principles to be a positive impact in the lives of others. Colossians WEB Chapter 3:12-14 teaches:
Put on therefore, as Gods chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do.
The fourteenth verse sums the previous with the way to achieve these things:
And above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection.
It is obvious with this loss that healing will take some time but just do not forget what the Holy Spirit has taught the church before through Paul in Philippians 4:8 says:
Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honourable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, thinks about these things.
In this time of great difficulty, continue to look to Jesus and Worship His Holy Name, and run the race that is before you with endurance. Fix your eyes on the source of our faith and make a conscious choice to seek Him. Remember to you that if God is for you, who can be against you?
Dear Lord, we lift up to you, Anonymous, who is mourning the loss of their grandfather. We pray that you would comfort them in their grief and give them the strength to accept this loss. We thank you for the Godly influence their grandfather had in their life and pray that they be a person who is overlooking others in oppression and sorrow, to suffer with those who are suffering and to weep with them who are in pain. We also ask for help with being mindful to be a person to rejoice with for those who are rejoicing and that this be a bond that creates a type of love like no other. We pray all these things in Jesus' name. Amen. Only believe we respond to everything in the faith of Jesus.
