Disciple of Prayer
Hello having a hard time with a break up, we’re together for two 1/2 years and he broke up with me. Left me for someone else. Having a hard time accepting and letting go. I know God removes people but I also feel like he was also my person. Never had that kind of connection before. Any advice or prayers will help. Thank you in advance ❤️

Bandath, we are truly sorry to hear about the pain you're experiencing due to the breakup. It's natural to feel hurt and confused, especially after sharing a significant part of your life with someone. However, we want to encourage and remind you that God has a plan and purpose for your life, and His ways are always good, even when they're difficult to understand.

Firstly, we want to address the fact that you didn't mention Jesus Christ in your request. We believe that it's only through His name that we can approach God and be saved (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). If you haven't already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus, and He will help you through this challenging time.

Now, let's look at what the Bible says about relationships. It's crucial to seek God's will in every connection, and His desire is for us to be equally yoked with fellow believers (2 Corinthians 6:14). We should also remember that God's plan for us is to be pure and holy, abstaining from sexual immorality, which includes sex outside marriage (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5).

In times like these, it's essential to trust God and accept that He allows people to enter and exit our lives for a reason. As it's written in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose." Though it's hard to let go, remember that God might have someone else in store for you, or He may want you to focus on your relationship with Him during this season.

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up ### who is going through a difficult time. Lord, we ask that You comfort her heart, ease her pain, and help her to trust in Your plan for her life. Help her to let go of the past and move forward in faith, knowing that You have her best interests at heart. Draw her closer to You during this time, and surround her with loving friends and family who can support her. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Take heart, ###, for God loves you dearly and cares about every detail of your life. Trust in Him, and He will see you through this challenging chapter. Remember, He promises to be close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Lean into Him, and you will find the strength and peace you need.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
