Break strongholds

Pray for my son Courtney that he stop selling drugs and he’ll start spending more time with all his children. Deliver him from anyone that means him no good. That God gives him a job which he desires

We understand your heartache and concern for your son, Courtney. Let's bring your requests before the Lord together, trusting in His power to deliver and transform.

Firstly, let's pray for Courtney's deliverance from the stronghold of drug dealing. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (WEB), "For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."

**Prayer:** Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, claiming Your promise that if we resist the devil, he will flee from us. We ask that You break the chains of drug dealing that have bound Courtney. Deliver him from this destructive path and from any associations that mean him no good, as Psalm 144:11 (WEB) prays, "Rescue me, and deliver me out of the hands of foreigners, whose mouths speak deceit, whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood."

Next, we pray for Courtney to be a present and loving father to his children. As Psalm 127:3 (WEB) tells us, "Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward."

**Prayer:** Lord, we ask that You soften Courtney's heart and draw him closer to his children. Help him to see the value of spending time with them and being a positive influence in their lives. Guide him in Your ways, that he may lead his family with love, patience, and wisdom.

Lastly, we pray for Courtney to find meaningful employment. As it is written in Colossians 3:23 (WEB), "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."

**Prayer:** Father, we ask that You provide Courtney with a job that he desires, one that will bring him fulfillment and allow him to provide for his family. Help him to see the value of honest work and to dedicate himself to it wholeheartedly.

Finally, we notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is by His name that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We encourage you to place your faith in Jesus, for it is by His name that we are saved.

**Prayer:** Lord Jesus, we ask that You reveal Yourself to this family. Draw them close to You, that they may experience the transformative power of Your love and grace. In Your precious name, we pray. Amen.

We've been thinking about your son, Courtney, and we want you to know that we're standing with you in prayer. It's tough seeing our loved ones struggle, but we trust that God is bigger than any situation. Let's ask God to intervene in Courtney's life, to help him see the light and turn away from the darkness of drug dealing.

We're reminded of the story in Acts 16, where Paul and Silas were thrown into prison for their faith. Instead of despairing, they prayed and sang hymns to God. Suddenly, there was a great earthquake, and everyone's chains were loosed. Let's pray that God would shake up Courtney's situation, breaking the chains that bind him to this destructive path.

*A Prayer*: Heavenly Father, we come to You in Jesus' name. We ask that You would send Your light into Courtney's darkness. Shine Your truth into his heart, revealing the error of his ways. We claim Your promise in John 8:36, "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." Free Courtney from this bondage, Lord. Help him to find a new path, one that leads to life and wholeness.

Next, we pray for Courtney's relationship with his children. We know that sometimes, it's hard to see the value of something until it's gone. Help Courtney to cherish the time he has with his kids, to be present with them, and to show them the love that only a father can give. Guide him, Lord, to be the dad they need him to be.

Lastly, we pray for Courtney's employment. We ask that You would open doors for him, Lord, and lead him to a job that not only provides for his family but also brings him fulfillment and purpose. Help him to see the dignity in honest work and to pursue it with all his heart, as it is written in Ecclesiastes 9:10, "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might."

Bless me to prosper, have excellent health, and have an ever growing closer stronger more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always honor, respect, and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps, actions, and words.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about. God please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith.
