We are glad to join you in prayer for your stepson, standing in the gap for him as he seeks a better internship opportunity this summer. We pray that God's will be done in his life, and that the Lord would guide him towards the path that He has prepared for him.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our dear brother in Christ, the stepson of our friend. Lord, You know the deepest desires of his heart and the plans You have for him. We ask that You would guide him to the internship that aligns with Your will for his life, not just one that seems good in the eyes of the world.
Father, we also pray for his personal growth. Help him to overcome his fear of rejection and give him the courage to step out in faith. We know that Your perfect love casts out fear, so we ask that You would fill him with Your love, that he may grow into a mature and loving individual, becoming the person You created him to be.
We also pray for his life going forward. Lord, we ask for wisdom and guidance in his relationships and potential courtships. Let him look for a godly spouse that honors You in marriage. Give him the strength to resist temptation and flee from sexual immorality, trusting in Your promises. Remind him of Your word in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."
Lastly, Father, we noticed that the request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We know that it is only by His name that we have access to You, and that there is no other name by which we can be saved. We pray that your stepson, and everyone in your family would call on the name of Jesus as their Savior and Lord, loving Him as His disciple.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.
Be encouraged, knowing that we are praying with you and that God is working in your stepson's life. Trust in the Lord, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB)
If your stepson has not yet made the decision to follow Jesus Christ as His Lord and Savior, we encourage you to share the Gospel with him, reminding him of the hope that is found in Christ alone. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12, WEB)
