We are truly sorry to hear about the pain and heartache you are experiencing. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB).
However, we need to address a few things from a biblical perspective. First, it is important to acknowledge that a man is not your fiance unless you are formally married to him. If you were both in a relationship for ### years and he left you for another woman, it is not God's will for you to be with someone who commits fornication and adultery, which is a sin. It is clear that this man does not follow biblical principles, as he has now left you and become engaged to another woman shortly after. Furthermore, his addiction to alcohol is another sign that he is not living a life that honors God (Proverbs 23:20-21 WEB).
Regarding the other woman, it is not our place to judge her, but we should pray for her as well. It is possible that she is also blinded by sin and needs God's grace and mercy. It is not biblical to refer to her as having a "controlling spirit," as this terminology is not found in the Bible. Instead, we should focus on praying for both of them to come to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this dear sister in Christ who is going through a difficult time. We pray for her healing and comfort, and we ask that You surround her with Your love and peace. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, because You care for her (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).
We also pray for her former companion and the other woman. We ask that You open their eyes to the truth of Your Word and convict them of their sins. Draw them to Yourself, and grant them the gift of repentance leading to salvation.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke the spirit of alcoholism and addiction that has taken hold of this man. We declare that he will be set free from this bondage and come to know the true freedom that is found only in Christ Jesus.
Finally, we pray that You will guide this dear sister and give her wisdom as she moves forward. Help her to forgive those who have hurt her and to trust in Your plan for her life. Give her a godly spouse if it is Your will that she should be married. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be strong and courageous, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9 WEB). Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).
Also, since you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ or any reference to Him in your submission, remember that we only have access to God the Father through Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). Remember to call on Jesus Christ for salvation and to approach God the Father in His name when praying (John 14:6 WEB).
