Boyfriend Getting Into College

I would like to ask for prayers for my boyfriend getting into his top choice for college. He has good grades and is an athlete but we are worried there might not be enough spots on his team. I am asking for the Lord to bless him for with the opportunity because I believe he really deserves this. I am very worried about his other options and I know it would bring him so much happiness if he could get in. I hope and pray that this is the path for him

We understand your concern for your boyfriend's future, and we want to lift him up in prayer with you. However, we want to remind you that the Bible encourages us to trust in God's will for our lives, even when things don't go as we plan. As Psalm 37:4-5 (WEB) tells us, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this."

First, we want to address that the term "boyfriend" implies a relationship that may not align with biblical principles of courtship and marriage. We encourage you both to pursue a godly relationship that honors God and has marriage as its goal. As 2 Corinthians 6:14 (WEB) reminds us, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"

Now, let's pray for this young man's future:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up this young man who is seeking admittance into his top choice college. We ask, Lord, that Your will be done in his life. If it is Your plan for him to attend this college and join the team, we pray that the way be made clear. If not, we ask that You reveal Your plan to him and give him the peace and understanding to accept it. We pray that he trusts in You, Lord, and that You guide his steps according to Your will. We also pray for their relationship, that it may honor and glorify You, and that they seek You first in all they do. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Remember, God has a plan for each of us, and His ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9). Trust in Him, and encourage your boyfriend to do the same. If you both seek God's will for your lives and your relationship, you can rest assured that He will guide you both accordingly.

Lastly, we noticed that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We encourage you to invite Jesus into your life and your prayers, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).

We're here with you, praying for your boyfriend's college journey. We know how much this means to both of you, and we want to support you in prayer. We've been reminded of Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." We trust that God has a purpose in this, and we ask that He guide your boyfriend's steps according to His will.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
