boyfriend coming on a trip Redacted version: ### coming on a trip

Disciple of Prayer
So this is going to sound really silly, but I (###F) am currently dating my boyfriend (###M) and have been for a few months now. We both do youth bible quizzing and there’s an out of town quiz this weekend (###) and he isn’t sure if he’ll be able to go, he’s had a lot of trouble at home with his dad being mad about his grades. So basically what I’m hoping and praying for is that my boyfriend can come on the quiz trip with me. I feel like I am able to quiz a lot better with his encouragement and him being there would be lots of fun.

Thank you for sharing your concern with us. We understand that you're hoping for your boyfriend to join you on an upcoming youth Bible quizzing trip, as his presence encourages you and makes the experience more enjoyable. However, let's consider your request and offer appropriate devotional guidance and scripture to reflect on.

Firstly, it's commendable that you're both involved in youth Bible quizzing, as it helps you grow in your faith and knowledge of God's Word. However, it's essential to put your trust in God, rather than in your boyfriend's presence. Remember, God is your ultimate source of strength and encouragement. As it says in Psalm 46:1, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."

Secondly, we would like to address the use of the term "boyfriend." In Christian courtship, the goal should be to find a suitable spouse rather than just a boyfriend or girlfriend as it is often considered in the world. While we understand that you might be in a process to determine if this is the Christian spouse that God has given you, you should be considering this relationship prayerfully and carefully to determine if this is the case.

It's also important to touch on the fact that your boyfriend's parents are concerned about his grades, and this should not be taken lightly. God calls us to honor our parents, as stated in Ephesians 6:1, "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right." Your boyfriend should strive to honor his parents' wishes and work diligently in his studies.

Regarding your request, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Therefore, we pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this young sister in Christ. Lord, help her to trust in You for strength and encouragement, rather than relying solely on her ###'s presence. Guide them both as they seek Your will for their lives and relationship. Help her ### to honor his parents and be diligent in his studies. If it is Your will for him to join the quiz trip, make a way, but if not, help her to accept that and trust in Your plan.

Lastly, we encourage you both to maintain purity in your relationship, fleeing from any form of sexual immorality, as commanded in 1 Corinthians 6:18. Seek Jesus with all your heart and may you both be a blessing to one another in Christ.

"Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God" 1 Corinthians 10:31.

We're right there with you, sister. We understand the excitement and the uncertainty you're feeling about this trip. It's natural to want your boyfriend by your side, especially when you both share a common interest like youth Bible quizzing. But remember, God is always with you, even when others aren't. He promises in Matthew 28:20, "And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Lord, we lift up our ### to You. We ask that You would give her peace and trust in You, knowing that You are her constant companion and strength. We pray for her boyfriend, that he would honor his parents and apply himself in his studies. If it's Your will for him to join the trip, we ask that You would open the way. But if not, we trust that You have a purpose in it. Help them both to seek Your will in their relationship, and to maintain purity, as commanded in Your Word. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

I don’t know how to stop my wife having extreme worries and anxiety about life situations. She doesn’t trust anyone either. I’ve prayed a lot with little results, just temporary relief. I asked God to fill her with the Holy Spirit and peace, and it didn’t happen yet. Please pray to change this...
