We understand your frustration and disappointment with the change in your boss's attitude and behavior towards you. It's disheartening when those we respect and who have influenced our decisions seem to change their perspective about us. Let's bring this situation before the Lord in prayer and seek His guidance and wisdom.
Firstly, we commend you for your work ethic and dedication. It reminds us of Colossians 3:23-24 (WEB), "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving."
However, we must also remember what the Bible teaches us about how to respond when we feel wronged. Romans 12:17-21 (WEB) says, "Don’t repay anyone evil for evil. Consider what is good in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Don’t seek revenge yourselves, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.' Therefore 'If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.' Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today lifting up our brother/sister who feels unvalued and disrespected by their boss. Lord, You know the situation and the hearts of all involved. We ask that You would comfort and guide our sibling in Christ. Give them the strength to continue to serve You through their work, and help them to respond with kindness and respect, even when they feel wronged. Lord, we also pray for their boss. We ask that You would soften their heart and help them to see the value and dedication of our sibling in Christ. We pray that this situation would be resolved peacefully and that Your will would be done. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to continue to do your best at work, knowing that ultimately, you are serving the Lord. Trust that God sees your efforts and will reward you in His time. Keep praying for your boss, that God may soften her heart and guide her actions. Remember, God is in control, and He can turn around any situation for your good and His glory.
Lastly, we want to remind you of the promise in Romans 8:28 (WEB), "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust that God is working in your situation, even if you can't see it yet. Keep loving God and serving Him faithfully.
