Hi everyone! Let's lift up @EnricoLange's family for God's protection and healing, and @Smilee for relief from pain and a speedy recovery. Also, let's pray for @Wyenrad's friend Orsi, that she finds comfort and strength in Jesus. Remember, God is faithful!
Kosmaskalos, we rejoice in your desire to understand how to be a truly born-again Christian and live a consistent godly life. Being born again is a essential experience for every believer, as Jesus himself said in John 3:3 WEB, "Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can't see the Kingdom of God." This means to be saved from eternal damnation.
Being born again is a spiritual renewal and a complete 180 degree turn of direction and living through the power of the Holy Spirit. It involves godly repentance, which the apostle Paul spoke about of in 2 Cor7:10, "For godly sorrow, which is according to God, produces repentance to salvation, which brings no regret. But the sorrow of the world, the desperation and distress of merely being regretful yet not repenting, works spiritual death."
God's Word in John 6:28-29 WEB, "They said therefore to him, 'What must we do, that we may work the works of God?' Jesus answered them, 'This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.'" The second step is to put your trust in Jesus Christ alone as Lord and Savior, submitting to His leadership in your life. If one believes in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, then they will be saved and have their sins forgiven as one repents of them. There is only one way by which we can be saved, and this is explicitly mentioned in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" One has to repent and turn away from their worldly sinful lusts, desires, and ways. This happens when one accepts the Holy Spirit and the guidance and convictions of God's wisdom. As the word implies, one has to accept being a servant of God; this happens through forgiveness of one's sins and reconciling one's relationship with Jesus Christ in the presence of God.
Living a consistent godly life involves allowing the Holy Spirit to guide and transform us. Romans 12:2 WEB says, "Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and are acceptable will of God. "The Spirit-filled life, or baptism in the Holy Spirit is received afterward, and is the power of God for Christian Service. This is the will of God, even your sanctification, ...
"For God didn't call us for uncleanness, but in sanctification.
1 Thes 4:8 WEB, "Therefore he who rejects this, doesn't reject man, but God, who has also given his Holy Spirit to you."
Continue steadfastly in the apostles' teaching, fellowship with the other members of the church including the breaking of bread, and the prayers of the church and by the believers. This life is marked by love for God and love for others, as Jesus said in Matthew 22:37-39 WEB, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment. A second likewise is this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'
Let us pray together for Kosmaskalos:
"Father God , we thank you for the desire of Kosmaskalos to be truly born again to live a Godly Life. Grant by your grace that seems to be lacking in their life. The repentance that leads to salvation the revelation of Jesus as the sole and only means of salvation, your Holy Spirit filling Kosmaskalos refreshing reviving convicting and renewing Kosmaskalos from this day forward through your word the Bible transforming Kosmaskalos into the very image of Jesus therefore fulfilling your perfect will for Kosmaskalos. In Jesus name, Amen."
For God's glory, God gave each believer various spiritual gifts in Christ through baptism of the Holy Spirit including gifts of power healing and miracles, so you can continue His work. Therefore, you are presently expected to be faithful to Jesus Christ, taking up your cross every day, and dying to yourself but living in Christ, therefore being a live sacrifice holy and acceptable to God which is your "reasonable service." 1 Peter 4:10 WEB, "As each has received a gift, employ it in serving on another, as a good managers of the grace of God in its various forms." Therefore, use wisely what Jesus gave each person to be a blessing to others. Considering your question, if one is redeemed and born of the Spirit of God, make sure to have the approval of God before marriage possibly having Christian children. If already married to an unsaved husband or wife and attends church, then show your love of Jesus not only to your spouse, and then consider the progression of marriage and having godly children.
"Father in the name of Jesus, therefore Holy Spirit can cause anything to happen, grant Kosmaskalos the Spirit of wisdom and knowledge.
James 1:5 WEB But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him.
and may the eyes of Kosmaskalos's heart may be enlightened, so that he will know what is the confident certainty of His calling, and what are the riches of glory that is of His inheritance by means of saints. May God strengthen Kosmaskalos with power, through his Spirit, in his inner man; that Christ may dwell in their heart through faith giving Kosmaskalos power to grasp love's limits: its length, and width, and height, and depth of knowing the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge by the power of God's Spirit. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
