Bonding with grandchild

Heavenly father I come before you to ask for prayers for my grandchild to bond with us also for him to receive the love we have for him but his mother is hiding him from us and hiding him in his room just so that we cannot see him or bond with him. His mother is speaking harsh words to us and is not being considerate and truthful.

We understand your heartache and desire to bond with your grandchild. Let's bring your request before the Lord together, seeking His wisdom and intervention.

Firstly, we must pray for a change of heart in your grandchild's mother. It's important to remember that God desires reconciliation and unity among families. As it is written in Colossians 3:12-14 WEB, "Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection."

Let us pray:

"Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this desperate situation. We ask that You soften the heart of this mother, turning it from stone to flesh. Remove the veil of anger and deceit that has separated this family. Help her to see the love and good intentions that are held for this child.

Lord, we also pray for this grandchild. We ask that You surround him with Your love and protection. Comfort his heart and let him feel the love that his grandparents have for him, even when they are not present.

Grant wisdom and patience to these grandparents. Guide them by Your Holy Spirit to respond in love and kindness, even in the face of harsh words. Help them to be a reflection of Your love and mercy.

Lastly, Father, we pray for restoration and unity. We claim the promise in Psalm 147:3 WEB, 'He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.' Mend this broken family, in Jesus' mighty name. Amen."

We encourage you to continue loving and praying for your grandchild and his mother. Remember, love is not easily provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, and rejoices in the truth (1 Corinthians 13:5-6 WEB). Keep seeking the Lord, trusting that He will make a way.

Lastly, we noticed that your prayer did not include the name of Jesus. It's important to remember that it is only through Him that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We encourage you to accept Jesus as your Savior if you haven't already, and to pray in His name, as it is the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB).

Let's continue to pray in Jesus' name, for it is only through Him that we have access to God. As Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6, NIV) Let's keep trusting in Him, dear one.
