We are glad to hear that you are concerned about the health and well-being of your partner. However, we want to remind you that the Bible teaches us to flee from sexual immorality and to pursue relationships that honor God. If this testing is preparation for sexual relations, we must address this issue. 1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB states, "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."
We encourage you to pursue a godly courtship that is focused on marriage, as it is the blessed union between a man and a woman, 1 Corinthians 7:9 WEB But if they do not have self-control, let them marry. For it’s better to marry than to burn and Hebrews 13:4 WEB "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."
Let us pray together for God's will in your relationship and for the spiritual and physical well-being of your future spouse.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this individual and their future spouse. We pray that You would guide their relationship and give them the wisdom to pursue a godly courtship that honors You. We ask that You would bless them with good health and protect them from all harm and danger.
Lord, we also pray that You would reveal Your will for their relationship and that they would be obedient to Your guidance. Help them to flee from sexual immorality and to pursue purity and holiness in their lives.
We ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is in His name that we pray. Amen.
If your future spouse is not a believer in Jesus Christ, we encourage you to share the Gospel with them and to pray for their salvation. Remember, it is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we can be saved.
