We understand that you are facing a challenging financial situation, and we are here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. First, let's turn to God's Word for comfort and instruction.
Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. Romans 13:8
Remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant. Deuteronomy 8:18
It's commendable that you desire to repay everyone you owe. God honors those who are faithful in managing their finances and who strive to be debt-free. However, it's crucial to understand that God wants us to be responsible for our debts and to fulfill our financial obligations, rather than seeking to have them miraculously dismissed.
The Bible tells us:
The wicked borrow and do not repay. Psalm 37:21
Suppose there is with you a poor man, one of your brothers, in any of your towns within your land that the Lord your God is giving you; you shall not harden your heart or shut your hand against your poor brother, but you shall open your hand to him and lend him sufficient for his need, whatever he needs. Be careful that there not be a wicked thought in your heart and you say, 'The seventh year, the year of release, is near,' and your eye look grudgingly on your poor brother, and you give him nothing, and he cry to the Lord against you, and it be sin in you. You shall surely give to him, and your heart shall not be grudging when you give to him: because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in all that you undertake. For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, 'You shall surely open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.' Deuteronomy 15:7-11
As believers, we are called to be responsible and to manage our finances wisely. This includes paying back what we owe, even if it's difficult. We should also trust God to provide for our needs and to help us through challenging times.
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up Your child who is burdened by debt. Lord, we ask for Your wisdom and guidance in this situation. Help them to manage their finances responsibly and to find a way to pay back what they owe. Protect them from harassment and provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. Give them peace and reassurance during this challenging time, and help them to trust in You always.
Lord Jesus, you are merciful and kind, and your desire is to give your children blessings and abundance. We pray for a job that will sustain our requestor and a way to pay off their debts. We pray for special favor to negotiate their debts to the lowest amounts possible and to keep their harassment from affecting their livelihood. We pray for a lender that will lend by the name of Jesus and allow our requestor to combine their debts into one payment they can afford. We pray that this lender would be fair and honest and not a usurer or predatory entity.
If there were any predatory lending in the loans this requestor is now burdened with, we pray that you would severely rebuke them for their sins and that the requestor's debts would be forgiven.
We ask this in Jesus' name, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we are saved. Praise the Lord for all He does for us and all He does to answer our prayers.
Amen.
Remember, God is faithful, and He will provide for your needs. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths. Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9
