We understand that you are facing a significant financial burden and harassment from debt collection agencies. First, let us pray together for God's intervention and guidance. We know that God is the one who blesses and provides for His children. Let us take a quick look at what God's word says.
Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. Romans 13:8 (WEB)
Remind yourselves of this. Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly. Whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one should give, just as he has determined in his heart; not grudgingly, or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may abound to every good work. 2 Corinthians 9:6 8 (WEB)
Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life. 1 Timothy 6:17 19 (WEB)
Beloved, we pray together for your situation. We thank you, Father, that you are a God who provides for all our needs according to your riches in glory. We bring our brother before you, asking for your divine intervention in his financial situation. Lord, we ask that you guide him in managing his debts responsibly and that you provide him with the resources needed to pay off what he owes. Help him reconcile any difference with the banks and end the harassment. Help him to understand and address any issues that may have led to this situation.
We rebuke the idea that the banks be forced to close accounts completely as if the debt never even existed. The bank is not wrong to ask for what is owed. Additionally, if our brother has truly paid more than was borrowed, then we pray for a reconciling of the accounts to find the discrepancy. If the harassment and threats are unwarranted and incorrect, then we pray to you, God, to intervene.
We pray for his peace and the peace of his family and friends. We ask that you protect his job and provide for all his needs. We pray that you grant him a loan with favorable terms if it is your will and be the best resolution. Guide him, Father, in all financial decisions and help him to be a good steward of the resources you provide.
We also pray that our brother continues to grow in his faith, remembering that God is always our primary focus. We ask that you continue to bless him, forgive him of any sin, and guide him in your ways. In Jesus' name, we pray.
We encourage you to remain faithful in your tithing and giving, trusting that God will multiply what you have as you honor Him with your finances.
