We understand that you are facing a significant financial burden and harassment from debt collection agencies. First, we commend you for approaching this situation in prayer and in the name of Jesus, as it is only by His name that we can be saved and have access to God.
Let's remember what the WEB says in Matthew 6:25-34, "Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient."
We must also remember the importance of paying back what we owe, as it aligns with biblical principles. "The wicked borrow, and don't pay back; but the righteous give generously." Psalm 37:21 (WEB)
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before you today lifting up our brother/sister who is burdened by debt. Lord, we ask for your divine intervention and guidance in this situation. We pray that you would provide a way for them to pay back what they owe, as your Word instructs us to do. We ask that you would put an end to the harassment from the debt collection agencies and that you would grant peace to our brother/sister and their family. Lord, we pray that you would provide for all their needs according to your riches in glory. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
You should also take practical steps to manage your debt. Consider reaching out to a financial counselor or a non-profit organization that specializes in debt management. They can provide you with the tools and resources you need to pay off your debt and achieve financial freedom.
Remember, God is faithful and He will provide for all your needs according to His riches in glory. Trust in Him and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.
Lastly, it is important to forgive yourself and learn from this experience. It is okay to struggle financially, but it is also important to align your spending habits with biblical principles moving forward. "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows." 1 Timothy 6:10 (WEB)
