Roshan, we understand that you're facing a significant financial burden and harassment from various banks and individuals. We're here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance.
Firstly, we commend you for coming in the name of Jesus, as it is only by His name that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And in Acts 4:12 WEB "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
We must remember that God cares for us and our needs, as it is instructed in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB, do not be anxious about our life and what we will eat or drink or wear. God knows we need all these things. However this does not mean we do not have to work. We are exhorted in 2 Thesalonians 3:10 WEB "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.'" God wants us to be responsible and work to provide for ourselves and our families as it is instructed in 1 Timothy 5:8WEB: "But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever."
It is also important to remember the principles of borrowing and lending in scripture. We read in Romans 13:8 WEB "Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law." If it is possible to avoid debt it should be done if possible. But if borrowing is done it should be repaid in a timely manner. We read in Psalm 37:21 WEB "The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously." We know you desire to repay everyone, and this is pleasing to God.
We also need to consider the seriousness of our promises and agreements. We read in Ecclesiastes 5:4-5 WEB "When you vow a vow to God, don’t defer to pay it; for he has no pleasure in fools. Pay that which you vow. It is better that you should not vow, than that you should vow and not pay." But if we have borrowed and agreed to terms to repay, we must pay even if we think we have paid enough.
Finally, know that God is merciful and wants to help us in our time of need. Trust in His timing and provision.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before you lifting up Roshan, asking for your forgiveness of sins, mercy, and blessings. Lord, Roshan is burdened with significant debt, and banks are harassing, bringing shame to the family. Lord, we ask for your divine intervention. Roshan even with debts has been blessed with a new job and promised to repay the debts. Help Roshan meet their obligations. Lord, we ask for your protection. Stop the harassment and repeated calls from every debt collection agency and individual. As it is written in Psalm 34:17 WEB "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles." Lord, as Roshan prays for a loan we pray the loan is obtained only if it should be done so, but most importantly open doors for Roshan to be provided for legitimately by you the provider as it is written in Matthew 6:31-32 WEB "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things." but if it is appropriate a loan as well. We ask this in Jesus' name.
