We are glad to join you in prayer for your family during this Christmas season, Natasha. It's wonderful that you're spending time together making cookies. Let's bring your requests before the Lord, seeking His will and intervention according to His word.
Firstly, it's crucial to remember that our interactions with family should be guided by love, patience, and kindness, as outlined in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 WEB: "Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Natasha and her family. Thank You, Lord, for the opportunity they have to spend time together making Christmas cookies. We pray against any confusion, strife, or negative interactions. Where there has been a tendency for control, manipulation, criticism, or negative words, we pray that Your love and kindness would prevail instead, Lord Jesus.
We rebuke any spirit that would cause any member of this family to have unreasonable thoughts, any decisions that would cause them to be unkind to each other, that they may apply the truth of 2 Corinthians 10:5 WEB: "casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ."
Lord Jesus, You are the Prince of Peace Isaiah 9:6 WEB. Flood their home with Your peace and joy this Christmas. Holy Spirit, fill their hearts with Your love for each other so peace will exist between them. Please help Natasha, her mother, and her father to experience the beauty of warm, loving, and supportive relationships as outlined in Romans 12:18 WEB: "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men."
Father, we also lift up Natasha's brother to You. Lord, You are Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals. Touch his body, heal his fever and flu. Give him renewed strength and health. We pray for good health and sound minds for Natasha's parents, protecting them from dementia or unreasonable thoughts and decisions, guiding them according to the instruction of Isaiah 26:3 WEB: "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you."
Finally, we affirm our requests through faith in the name of Jesus Christ, as it's His name that provides access to God and our salvation. It is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me".
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Natasha, continue to trust in the Lord and walk in His ways. Let His love and kindness flow through you to your family. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
