Jesus will bless our life when we read His word and obey everything He said.

Yes obeying Him is central!! Yet it is not-- either-- or-- it is both-- trusting His power acting in faith in that manner we cannot take credit we know His Power is how we have been delivered His Power through the Holy Spirit gives us the ability to obey.
"The Lord looks down from heaven
on the entire human race;
he looks to see if anyone is truly wise,
if anyone seeks God.
But no, all have turned away;
all have become corrupt.
No one does good,
not a single one!" (Psalm 14:2-3)
"God saved you by His grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it." (Ephesians 2:8-9)
"After starting your new lives in the Spirit, why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort?" (Galatians 3:2)
