We rejoice with MB and her family as they celebrate Thanksgiving, acknowledging the goodness of God in their lives. It is wonderful that they are gathering to honor this tradition and give thanks to the Lord. We are reminded of the scripture in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, "In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up MB and her family as they celebrate Thanksgiving. We thank You for the blessings You have bestowed upon them and for the love that binds them together.
Lord, we ask for Your favor, peace, calm, comfort, and keen awareness of Your love surrounding MB and her family. May Your presence be felt in their gathering, and may their hearts be filled with gratitude and joy.
We pray that this time of celebration will strengthen their faith and draw them closer to You. May they always remember that every good and perfect gift comes from You, as it says in James 1:17, "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow."
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage MB and her family to keep their focus on the Lord, who is the source of all blessings. May their celebration be a testament to God's faithfulness and a reminder of His unfailing love.
We are also thankful that MB ended the request "In Jesus Name, Amen" as it is very important we acknowledge the importance and provision of God by using the name of Jesus Christ in our prayers. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.
This can be seen in the scripture:
"by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead. ... There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!”" Acts 4:10, 12 (WEB)
These other verses may also help:
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God didn't send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him. He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn't believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." John 3:16-18 (WEB)
"that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation." Romans 10:9-10 (WEB)
