Michsennor, we are lifting up Gary before the Lord with you. First the Scriptures identify something to address. We would encourage and tell both you and Gary to honor God and biblical instructions for couples to "abstain from sexual immorality" that is found in Acts 15:20. In addition, "flee sexual immorality" is found in 1 Corinthians 6:18. Since sex before or outside marriage is fornication or possibly adultery and is a serious sin, it is called sexual immorality in Scripture. We encourage you to elevate Gary's title to a future spouse instead of a partner. God's will is for Christian believers to marry having a fruitful life together. Also, please specify that is the request being prayed in Jesus' name.
Firstly, we want to affirm that the name of Jesus is the only way that we are saved and have access to pray to God This is found in Acts 4:12.
It is only by the name of Jesus that we are saved and can fully be saved from our sinful nature to eternally be with Jesus.
For special health petitions, it is important to know that God is the ultimate physician, and nothing is impossible with Him as mentioned in Jeremiah. We remember the story in Luke 17:11-19, where Jesus healed ten lepers, and one of them, a Samaritan, returned to praise God. Let's claim healing for Gary in a similar manner.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your healing touch for Gary. We ask that You bless him with better health, removing any infirmity, and specifically stopping the coughing and sneezing that has been troubling him. We rebuke the spirit of infirmity in the name of Jesus. As You did with the leper, make Gary whole again, so that he may testify of Your goodness and mercy. We are thankful for Your faithfulness and Your promise to heal. God, please be with the medical staff if he visits them and give them the ability to care for, treat, and heal Gary. But, most importantly, heal as only God can heal. Pray that his relationship with You is made better, stronger, and rededicated.
Since these relationships should be looking for a spouse rather than a partner there is God-given guidance found in Proverbs 3:5-6. We advise you to trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. This applies to you and Gareth in seeking God's will and guidance for his healing and your relationship.
May Your will be done in Gary's life and otherwise in Jesus' name. Amen.
We encourage both of you to seek the Lord's guidance in prayer and in the Word and also seek being married as God's will if agreeable to both of you. It is extremely important to apply the Godly prinicples in Scripture that are discussed by us. That is to abstain from sexual immorality and particularly in the new Old Testament Church. It is another subject that the Old Testament references polygamy, but the New Testament Church, much less the laws of the land in our country, state, and territory allow it.
