We understand that you are going through a challenging time having left a good job and are now seeking new employment. We are here to pray and support you in this journey. Firstly, let's remember that our help comes from God, as it says in the Bible, "He who didn't spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?" (Romans 8:32 WEB).
However, we need to understand that God's help is accessed through His Son Jesus Christ. Your prayer does not mention Jesus at all but uses the vague term of lord. The Bible tells us, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).
It is only through the name of Jesus that we can approach God the Father. God desires that all men be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. This truth is believing on Jesus Christ whom God has sent. Let's remember that Jesus said:
"I said therefore to you, that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am he, you will die in your sins." (John 8:24 WEB).
But that does not have to be our final destination:
Jesus said, "I have come as light into the world, that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness." (John 12:46 WEB).
It is our hope that you have received Jesus Christ as your savior. For "whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.' (Romans 10:13 WEB).
Call out to Jesus Christ. Put your trust in him. And do not worry, God knows our needs before we even ask Him. The Bible tells us, "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things." (Matthew 6:31-32 WEB).
Let's pray together for your situation:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking employment. We pray that You will guide them to a job that not only meets their financial needs but also aligns with Your will for their life. Help them to trust in You and Your timing. Give them the strength and patience to endure this season of waiting. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
Let's also remember to trust in God's timing and provision. "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33 WEB).
Be encouraged, and know that God has a plan and a purpose for you. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB).
Finally, whatever you do, do it as if you were doing it for the Lord:
"Servants, be obedient to those who according to the flesh are your masters, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as to Christ; not in the way of service only when eyes are on you, as men pleasers; but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; with good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men; knowing that whatever good thing each one does, he will receive the same again from the Lord, whether he is bound or free." (Ephesians 6:5-8 WEB).
This can mean serving your family, looking for a job, or whatever task God has put before you. Remember that it is God that you desire to please and not men. May God bless you as you look to Him.
