We understand that you're facing financial struggles and seeking God's blessing for you and your fiancé. Firstly, we want to remind you that it is so important to be in a loving, caring, and godly relationship. For you to be considering marriage, this should be a courtship with the focus being on finding a godly husband or wife. The Bible tells us "do not be unequally yoked," (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB), so it is important that both of you both be Christian believers. We are concerned that there could be some compromise here, and we ask you to consider this in prayer. We encourage you to pray together and seek God's will for your relationship.
As far as your financial struggles, the Bible tells us "But my God shall supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19 WEB). This does not mean we will always be wealthy or even be free from poverty, but it does mean that our needs will be met. Remember, God does not want you to worry about anything but to pray about everything. This is what the Bible says: "Have no anxiety at all, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." (Philippians 4:6 WEB).
The Bible also gives some principles for our finances. If you are not already doing so, you should be giving a portion of your money to your local church. This is called tithing, and it is a way to give back to God and support His work. Then God promises to bless the rest. "Honor Yahweh with your substance, with the first fruits of all your increase:" (Proverbs 3:9 WEB).
We thank Jesus that we can approach God the Father in Jesus' name. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up your children who are struggling financially. We ask for Your blessing and provision for them, that You would meet their needs according to Your riches in glory. We also pray for their relationship, that it would be centered on You and Your will. Help them to seek You first, and to trust in Your promises. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
