However, we must remember that God has given dominion over animals to humans, as it is written in Genesis 1:26, "Let’s make man in our image, after our likeness. While we can ask God for wisdom in caring for our pets, we should be careful not to elevate them to a status that is equal to or above humans, as only humans are made in God's image.
