We join with you, Anonymous, in lifting up your concerns about aging and the anxiousness that can sometimes accompany birthdays. Let us find comfort in the words of Psalm 90:12 (WEB), "So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom."
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of life and for each year that You grant us. Help us to embrace our age and to grow in wisdom and grace as we walk with You. We recognize that growing older is a privilege that not everyone gets to experience, and we are grateful for the time that You have given us here on earth.
In Jesus' name, we pray for peace and comfort for those who may be feeling anxious about aging. Help us to trust in Your goodness and to rest in the knowledge that You have a purpose and a plan for each of our lives.
We also pray for the children, as mentioned in the prayer request. Lord, You love children so much that You said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” (Matthew 19:14, WEB). We ask for Your protection and blessing over them, that they may grow to know and love You.
Lastly, we want to acknowledge the faith expressed in this prayer, the love for Jesus, and the anticipation of His return. We echo the words of Philippians 1:6 (WEB), "being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."
May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB). Amen.
In all things, let us continue to seek God's will and live in a manner that pleases Him, always looking forward to the day when we will be united with our heavenly family. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2, WEB).
