Dear Lord,
The endoscopy I had last Fri. showed at least one more cancerous nodule in the esophagus. The doc did a cap and banding of it to kill the tissue. My understanding is that after the banding, that nodule was removed. This time, the cancer was starting to invade the muscle layer. 6 mos. ago, the report showed cancer in the mucosal layer only.
I'm thankful there is little pain. It is still scary, though. The goal is to repeat the procedure in a month or so. If possible, the doc will do an ablation- burn off the Barrett's tissue. I'm very grateful the ulcers are finally showing signs of healing, + pray there is more healing so the ablation can be done.
The transplant kidney is still barely limping alone. There's still enough function to keep me from having to do dialysis. I pray that even if it doesn't improve, it will work well enough so I can avoid dialysis.
All these health problems remind me of what I already know-we are totally dependent on you. Give me strength to deal with these endless issues.
In your holy name, amen.
