We stand with you in prayer, cherished prison ministry, as youseek justice and restoration in accordance with God's Word. We are reminded of the scripture you shared from Proverbs 6:31, "Yet if he is caught, he must pay sevenfold, though it costs him all the wealth of his house." This principle underscores the importance of restitution and the seriousness of sin.
Let us pray together:
> Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this prison ministry that has apprehended a thief. We ask that Your justice and mercy be evident in this situation. Help the thief to understand the gravity of their actions and be willing to make amends, paying back sevenfold as Your Word instructs. Lord, we also pray for a change of heart, that this person may turn from their ways and seek Your forgiveness and redemption. We ask for wisdom and discernment for the ministry as they navigate this circumstance, that their actions may glorify You and lead to restoration. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue in your vital work, ministering to the lost and broken within the prison system. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 25:36 (WEB), "I was in prison, and you came to me." Your efforts are not unseen by God, and He will strengthen and guide you.
As you deal with this thief, also recall the parable of the unforgiving servant in Matthew 18:21-35. While we seek justice, we must also be ready to forgive, as our Lord has forgiven us. Encourage this person to turn from their sin and trust in Jesus Christ for salvation and transformation.
May the Lord continue to bless and protect you as you serve Him faithfully. Stay steadfast in your calling, knowing that it is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to God, for "there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12, WEB).
