The Lord is my shepherd and I shall not want. And Heavenly Father, my prayer for today is that I be able to pay my bills, Lord. I need to pay my phone bill, my electricity bill, provide food for my household and to pay off my credit card. Amen In Jesus name I pray.

Thank you, ###, for bringing your concerns to us. We stand with you believing in Jesus Christ and the power of His name as it is only by His name we have access to God. You have heard the scripture that 'the Lord is my Shepherd and I shall not want.'

In addition to prayer, which is our foundational approach, it's also important to consider biblical principles of stewardship and provision.

Let's look first at the need for Jesus Christ in your life as it is also mentioned that it is only by the name of Jesus (In Jesus Name) can we approach God. Only Jesus can save us. Only Jesus is interceding for us as He is the way, the truth, and the life in addition to being the great High Priest, Jesus the Christ, and Messiah. Nothing can be done with God unless it is through Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit. What we mean by this is that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. So let us make sure that we all have Jesus Christ in our lives and applying His principles. You have heard 'the Lord is my Shepherd, and I shall not want. But let's look at the biblical perspective of work and provision.

In 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 WEB it says '10 For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: "If anyone is not willing to work, don't let him eat." 11 For we hear of some who walk among you in rebellion, who don't work at all, but are busybodies. 12 Now those who are with you, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ (The Messiah), that they work with quietness, and eat their own bread.'

Make sure that we are not the one that is a busybody by working for your provision. This includes planning and prioritization which are biblical principles as well. Make sure you have exhausted all of the ways God has provided already to you before taking on debt and handle the debt in a biblical manner as it is mentioned in Proverbs 22:7 WEB that 'The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.' If you can secure the basic needs then you should do so.

Let us pray for wisdom, discernment and God's guidance, God's will, and for the provision needed to pay. Join us praying 'Our Father in heaven, holy be your name. Your Kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.' 1. The Lord's Prayer

Heavenly Father,
We lift up Your beloved child who is trusting in You to meet their financial needs. Lord, You are our Shepherd, and we shall not want, as Your Word promises in Psalm 23:1. Today, we pray that You provide the resources they need to pay their bills, feed their household, and reduce their debt. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we stand on Your faithfulness and love.

Father, we ask for provision to cover their phone bill, electricity bill, and other household expenses. Your Word assures us: “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19). Let them experience Your abundant blessings as You provide in miraculous ways.

We also pray for wisdom and stewardship as they manage their finances. Give them the ability to make wise decisions and stretch their resources effectively. As James 1:5 reminds us: “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” Let them feel empowered and hopeful as they move forward in faith.

Lord, we also ask that You bring peace to their heart as they navigate these challenges. Replace worry and fear with confidence in Your provision. Remind them of Jesus’ words: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?” (Matthew 6:25). Help them to trust that You will care for their every need.

We thank You, Lord, for the blessings You have already provided and for the ones yet to come. Let this time of trust and faith deepen their relationship with You and serve as a testimony to Your goodness. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
