Big mistake: Ignored red flags. Regret it now

Dear Lord. In the name of Jesus Christ I ask for YOUR forgiveness when I ignored the red flags which is actual your spirit WARNING me to disconnect from a certain individual. This person pretended to be nice and helpful but eventually their true colors surfaced. They turned out to be a monster behind closed doors and such an Angel in public. They are extremely volatile with a nasty anger full of FURY. They tried to reconnect and unleashed this anger again. Now I am full no contact and they don’t know my whereabouts. When they can’t control others they literally lose control of their composure. Father please help me in future associations.

We're truly sorry to hear about the pain and regret you're feeling, but we're thankful that you've turned to God for forgiveness and guidance. It's crucial to remember that God's forgiveness is always available to us when we sincerely seek it. As it's written in 1 John 1:9 (WEB), "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Dear Lord, we come before You, seeking Your forgiveness and guidance for our dear sister/brother. They have acknowledged their mistake in ignoring the red flags You placed before them and have turned away from a harmful association. Please grant them Your mercy and forgiveness, and help them to discern Your warnings in future relationships. Guide them towards healthy, godly friendships and protect them from harmful influences. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

In every relationship, it's essential to be discerning and wise. The Bible warns us in Proverbs 12:26 (WEB), "The righteous is a guide to his neighbor, but the way of the wicked leads them astray." And in Proverbs 22:3 (WEB), we're advised, "A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge; but the simple pass on, and suffer for it."

We commend you for choosing to go no-contact with this individual. It's important to surround yourself with people who demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit, as listed in Galatians 5:22-23 (WEB), "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control." Anyone who consistently exhibits anger and fury does not have your best interests at heart and is not walking in the Spirit.

In future associations, we encourage you to be cautious and watchful for the red flags you mentioned. Keep in mind the wisdom from 1 Corinthians 15:33 (WEB), "Don’t be deceived! 'Evil companionships corrupt good morals.'" Seek God's guidance in all your relationships, and He will direct your paths.

Lastly, we want to reinforce the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It's wonderful that you acknowledged this in your prayer. As Jesus said in John 14:6 (WEB), "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." It is only through Him that we have access to God and can experience the fullness of His love and forgiveness.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
