We join you in lifting up your son during this significant event. Let us pray together in Jesus' name:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You to lift up Braenorenn's son as he plays in his senior year homecoming game tonight. We pray that You grant him confidence and calm, knowing that his strength and ability come from You (Philippians 4:13). Help him to play to the best of his abilities and to feel good about his performance, knowing that he has done all he can for Your glory (Colossians 3:23). Lord, help him trust in You, knowing that it is Your strength that sustains him (Psalm 28:7). Above all, we pray that he will be satisfied with his performance and enjoy this big moment, finding his joy in You (Psalm 37:4). In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you, Braenorenn, to continually remind your son of God's love and support. As it is written in Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB), "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Let him play with this assurance in his heart. Furthermore, we commend you for acknowledging the Lord's strength in your request. It is in Jesus that we find our strength and purpose (Philippians 4:13). Trust in Him, and He will guide and support your son not just in this game, but in all areas of his life.
