We are grateful for your request, Metlya, and we join you in prayer for your Bible study group and the elderly individuals who have been affected by COVID as well as the sister who has completed cancer treatment.
Let us pray together.
Our Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up our elderly brothers and sisters, asking for Your healing touch on those who have had or are suffering from COVID as well as the sisters or brothers who face cancer. Strengthen their bodies, encourage their spirits, and fill them with Your peace and hope. We especially lift up the sister who has completed a year of cancer treatment. We pray she, like the Psalmist, can find and say...
Psalm 118:17 (WEB):
17 I will not die, but live, and declare Yah's (God's) works.
Father, we also pray for your spirit to break on the ones who cannot attend. Comfort them, give them hope and fill their homes with your presence which we pray is with them always.
Psalm 42:11 (WEB):
Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me?
Hope in God!
For I shall still praise him for the saving help of his presence.
As you had ten in attendance, Father we are mindful that Jesus was asked if it was possible to find faith on the earth. We pray for faith and when out of the original 17, you had ten believers/followers that gathered, we know faith.
Luke 18:8 (WEB):
Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"
We pray for more than in the current attendance and know during this time of health issues, transportation, or other problems might be faced by the other seven members. May their hearts be touched and may attendance be increased even more than before. We pray that we may continue our Biblical responsibilities to the last, the least, the lonely, the lost and the Mulling.
James 1:27 (WEB):
Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.
Finally, we join you in the great commission of sharing the love of Christ as commanded in
Matthew 28:19-20 (WEB)
19 Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations,
BAPTIZING them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost:
20 TEACHING them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen
In the Precious name of Jesus and no other name which can be given to men by which we must be saved.
Acts 4:12 (WEB):
There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
