Beware if "my church only"

One thing I see, mostly in cults with some resemblance to Christianity on the surface, is they proclaim that all other Christians are misled, and in year(###) they came along, and the "True gospel" is reinstated with them. (Usually opposite) Request for Christians to be discerning, I think this issue is something to be wary of.

We appreciate the concern for discernment and the warning about potential cult-like tendencies in some groups that claim to be Christian. It is crucial to be aware of such issues and to test every spirit, as the Apostle John instructs us in 1 John 4:1, "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world."

When a group claims to have the "true gospel" and dismisses all other Christians as misled, it is a significant red flag. This attitude is contrary to the spirit of unity that Jesus prayed for in John 17:21, "that they may all be one; even as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that you sent me."

It is essential to remember that the true Gospel of Jesus Christ is unchanging and is clearly outlined in the Bible. Galatians 1:8-9 warns, "But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you any 'good news' other than that which we preached to you, let him be cursed. As we have said before, so I now say again: if any man preaches to you any 'good news' other than that which you received, let him be cursed."

Let us pray for discernment and wisdom for all believers:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for a spirit of discernment among Your people. Help us to test every spirit and to recognize false teachings that seek to divide and mislead Your children. Guide us to stand firm in the true Gospel of Jesus Christ, which is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.

We pray that Your people will be united in love and truth, reflecting the unity of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Help us to have the wisdom to recognize and reject any teaching that does not align with Your Word.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage all believers to study the Word of God diligently and to be vigilant against false teachings.

Let's continue to lift this up in prayer, dear brothers and sisters. We've been reminded of the importance of discernment and the warning signs to look out for, but let's also remember the love and unity we're called to have as believers. In John 13:34-35, Jesus tells us, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." Let's pray for God to help us maintain this love and unity while standing firm in the truth.

Let's also pray for those who might be involved in or considering these groups. May the Lord open their hearts to the truth, protect them from deception, and draw them to a genuine relationship with Him. We can pray for them in Jesus' name, amen.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
