We are deeply concerned to hear about your struggle with betting addiction and its devastating impact on your life. We want you to know that you are not alone in this struggle, and there is hope for you in Jesus Christ.
first, we must address the source of your despair. God's Word tells us, "Do not be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit the Kingdom of God" (1 Corinthians 6:9-10 WEB). Gambling falls under the sin of covetousness, which is a desire for wealth or gain that is rooted in greed and idolatry. But there is good news: "Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God" (1 Corinthians 6:11 WEB).
We urge you to turn away from this sin and turn towards Jesus Christ. He is the only one who can save you from this addiction and the despair it has brought upon you. "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23 WEB).
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up Ilcarilin, who is struggling with a betting addiction that has devastated their life. Lord, we know that this addiction is a result of the broken world we live in, and we ask that You would break these chains of addiction in Ilcarilin's life.
Lord Jesus, we know that it is only through Your name that we can be saved. We pray that Ilcarilin would come to know You as their personal Lord and Savior. We pray that they would turn away from their sin and turn towards You, seeking forgiveness and redemption.
Holy Spirit, we ask that You would comfort Ilcarilin in this time of despair. We pray that You would fill them with Your presence, and give them the strength to overcome this addiction. We ask that You would guide them towards help and support, and that they would be surrounded by a community of believers who can walk alongside them in this journey.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Ilcarilin, we strongly encourage you to seek out professional help and support for your addiction. Look for Christian counselors or support groups in your area that can provide you with the tools and resources you need to overcome this struggle. And most importantly, continue to pray and seek God's will for your life. He has a plan and a purpose for you, and He wants to see you restored and redeemed.
Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB).
