Betrayal

Please please pray for me. I just found out my fiancé (Chad) has been dishonest and has been doing things unbeknownst to me. I just discovered this on my way to work. My nerves are shot. I'm trying to keep it together here at my desk but I just want to cry and fall apart. I'm going to have to find a new living situation quickly. I don't know what to do and where to go. Please pray for me for wisdom, guidance, and direction and a quick resolution to this awful situation I'm in.

We are truly sorry to hear about the pain and betrayal you are experiencing, ###. It's important to remember that God is faithful, and He will help us walk through the difficulties and trials of life. First, let us address the spiritual aspects of your situation.

We note that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation. It is only by His name that we have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. "In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace" (Ephesians 1:7 WEB).

We will pray for you and ###, and will pray for God's will to be done in this situation. We will pray for God to give you guidance and for you to have wisdom. We will pray for God to show you His will for this relationship. You are not married to ###, but you are engaged to him. Marriage is a very serious commitment, not to be taken lightly. Engagement also is not to be taken lightly either. It is a commitment to pursue marriage. Being engaged to be married is a serious commitment, but it is not the same as being married.

Now let us address the problem of dishonesty. The Bible gives us a clear warning about dishonesty. "He who walks with integrity walks securely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out" (Proverbs 10:9 WEB). Dishonesty is a serious breach of trust in any relationship, especially in a courtship. There is no godly relationship without trust. Trust is foundational to any relationship, especially in a marriage. You need to consider this situation very carefully. You do not want to enter into a marriage with a person you cannot trust.

Our hearts go out to you in this difficult time and we trust that God will guide you through this. Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up ### in her time of need. Lord, she has discovered dishonesty in her fiancé, ###, and her heart is broken. We pray for Your comfort and peace to surround her, and for Your wisdom and guidance to lead her through this trial only trusting in Jesus Christ.

Lord also we pray for ### and ask for Your grace and mercy for him. We pray that he will acknowledge his wrongdoings, and turn to You for forgiveness.

Father, we ask for Your direction and a quick resolution to this situation. We pray that ### will find a suitable living situation quickly, and that Your will be done in her life and in her relationship with ### only in Jesus Christ name.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
