We are truly sorry to hear about Tony's condition, and we are here to lift him and you up in prayer. First let us address we do not pray for animals, but pray for people. We do not believe God cares for animals, but does care for people. We do not believe any animals go to heaven nor do they have a spirit or soul. This can be seen in the below as a discussion and not from offering any sort of prayer. Although we do love our pets, we would ask if you could look to the bible for wisdom on the value of animals vs the value of a human.
Look to this example: Look at the birds of the sky. They don't sow, nor reap, nor gather into barns, and your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Matthew 6:26 WEB.
Now Jesus did not see animals as having any great importance to us. You will not find any scripture that mentions praying to our Father for any animals. But you can find scriptures that mentions humans as having more value and praying for people. The Bible says nothing about animals having souls or any mention of them in heaven. It does say humans have souls and mentions humans in heaven and hell. God has given us dominion over all animals and he gave Adam the task of naming every animal.
Let's pray together for you and your distress at this time, so you can better withstand these difficult circumstances. It is mentioned in 1 Peter 5:7 WEB to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. We pray this distress helps point you closer to Christ or brings someone to Christ. And we pray this in Jesus name.
We encourage you to seek God's comfort and peace during this time. Remember that God cares for you and that He is always there to listen and to help you through. Lainynn please see in Philippians 4:6-7 it says, Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. And the peace of God passes all understanding.
Although we did address your request. The request did not mention Jesus or even hint at a belief in Jesus. This is troubling, since it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. We feel we need to discuss this. This can be seen in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Also, Acts 4:12 WEB, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
