Talmea, let us remind ourselves of the impact that others have had on our lives, and let us be grateful for the positive influence they have been. As Scripture reminds us, "Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens his friend's countenance" (Proverbs 27:17, WEB). It is through these interactions that we grow and become more like Christ. We should always ask in Jesus' name.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for placing people in our lives who have touched us in a positive way. We lift up each and every one of them to You, asking for Your blessings and protection over their lives. Help us never to forget the good they have done and the love they have shown. Help us Lord to always remember that we can only approach you through the name of Jesus.
Father, we also pray for ourselves, that we may be a positive influence on others, just as they have been to us. Help us to be a shining light for You, reflecting Your love and grace to those around us.
In Jesus name
Amen (So be it in Jesus name.)
Furthermore, let us remember the words of the Apostle Paul, "If therefore there is any exhortation in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any tender mercies and compassion, make my joy full by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind; doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself" (Philippians 2:1-3, WEB). It is through this mindset that we can truly be a positive influence on others because the Joy of the Lord is our strength.
As a final note, let us remember that it is only through the powerful name of Jesus Christ that we receive salvation. As the Bible has taught us "in none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12, WEB).
