Beloved of All
The world household in the bible has a broader context than the modern day idea of the word "family". Some people only consider their husband and children to be their household. Because that's what the modern day interpretation of "family" is for many.
In the bible it is not so. Household has a much wider meaning.
For instance :
1) "Father, mother, brothers...and all who belonged to her":
Joshua 6:23 So the young men who had done the spying went in and brought out Rahab, her father and mother and brothers and all who belonged to her. They brought out her entire family and put them in a place outside the camp of Israel.
Joshua 6:25 But Joshua spared Rahab the prostitute, with her family and all who belonged to her, because she hid the men Joshua had sent as spies to Jericho—and she lives among the Israelites to this day
Rahab's family was saved because of her helping of the Israelites.
2) Another meaning of household in the bible is the members of ones business, those who work for you, even your housekeeper.
There was a business woman Lydia, apparently single, no mention of a husband, she did have a household.
Acts 16
14One of those listening was a woman named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth from the city of Thyatira, who was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to respond to Paul's message. 15When she and the members of her household were baptized, she invited us to her home. "If you consider me a believer in the Lord," she said, "come and stay at my house."
Having myself no family in the modern day sense, but having loved ones in my life. I do decide today that I will reconsider this verse in the bible and claim SALVATION for my loved ones more intensely again, on this basis of this scripture in Acts 16:31 - "You and your loved ones will be saved".
Lord, I now lift up all my unsaved loved ones to You, among whom my brother, his wife and his children and I lift up to You my unsaved friends and I claim them for Your Kingdom. May they know Your salvation. In Jesus Name. amen
