We understand that you are going through a difficult time, feeling uncertain about your life and future, especially regarding your career. First, we want to assure you that God cares about every detail of your life, and He wants you to trust Him with your burdens. We are not our own, but bought with a price, the precious blood of Jesus Christ.
Let us remind you of the promise in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Even when you feel lost, God has a purpose for you, and He is working everything out for your good.
However, we want to address something important. You mentioned that you are praying in Jesus' name, and that is wonderful. Remember that Jesus Christ also paid the ultimate price for our salvation and we can access God's presence because of Him. Acts 4:12 states that there is salvation in no one else but Jesus. Therefore there is no other name by which we must be saved. Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and man. It is good that you acknowledged praying in Jesus' name. That is the only way to pray.
Regarding your job situation, we encourage you to continue seeking God's will and to trust Him with your future. It is good to take initiative, as you have done by applying for government contract jobs. Remember the words of Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Let us pray together for you:
"Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking Your will for their life. Lord, they feel uncertain and lost, not knowing which way to turn. We ask that You guide them, open the doors that You would have them walk through, and close the doors that are not in Your will.
Father, we pray for their job situation. If it is Your will, open up the right opportunities for them. Give them patience, perseverance, and discernment as they wait on You.
Help them to trust in You with all their heart, leaning not on their own understanding. In all their ways, may they acknowledge You, so that You can make their paths straight.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Be encouraged, and keep trusting in the Lord. He has not forgotten you, and He has a plan for your life. Keep praying and seeking His will, and remember that His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts.
