We join with you in spirit, praying for a renewed commitment and readiness for the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Let us come before God with humble hearts, seeking His face and His will for our lives.
Firstly, we lift up the names of ### to the Lord, asking that He would change their hearts and prepare them for Jesus' return. As it is written in 1 Peter 3:15, "But sanctify in your hearts Christ as Lord: being ready always to give answer to every man who asks you a reason concerning the hope which is in you, with humility and fear." We pray that they, along with all Christians, would be fully prepared and vigilant, awaiting our Lord's return.
We ask, oh Lord, that You would fill each one of us with Your Holy Spirit, that we may be guided and empowered to follow Your commandments. As Galatians 5:16 tells us, "But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won't fulfill the lust of the flesh." May we be ever-mindful of Your presence and obedient to Your word.
In these trying times, we claim the joy of the Lord as our strength, as told in Nehemiah 8:10. We rebuke the spirits of fear, intimidation, anxiety, depression, and lack of self-control, for they are not from God. As 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us, "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."
Search our hearts, oh Lord, and reveal any hidden sins that may hinder our walk with You. As Psalm 139:23-24 says, "Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way." We ask for Your correction and forgiveness, that we may not miss out on the blessings You have in store for us.
Humble us, Lord, and cover us with the precious blood of Jesus from the top of our heads to the soles of our feet. As Isaiah 54:17 declares, "No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you will condemn." We claim this promise, knowing that You are our shield and protector.
Destroy all evil works, witchcraft, sorceries, and black magic sent against us, Lord. As Philippians 2:9-11 proclaims, "Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." We stand on the power of Jesus' name, knowing that every knee must bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord.
Lastly, we speak to sickness, disease, and poverty, commanding them to bow under the mighty name of Jesus Christ. As Peter said in Acts 3:6, "In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!" We claim healing and provision in Jesus' name.
We are so glad that this prayer was in Jesus' name and that you recognize the power of His name. As Acts 4:12 says, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Together may we continually pray and keep alert, being watchful with thanksgiving as we look forward to the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
